International Accounting Standards (IAS)

The International Accounting Standards Board’s committee has issued 41 standards. Ever since its formation, the committee has adopted a continuous improvement policy that led to the update of many standards. For example, in 2001 the committee deleted international standard number 25 (investment accounting) and combined it with standard number 39 (Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement)and number 40 (Investment Property).
